North Smethwick Canalside – Brindley Village II

Embracing a substantial area north of Birmingham’s Main line canal network, North Smethwick Canalside is one of RegenCo’s most ambitious projects. It re-establishes Smethwick’s canals at the heart of the region, delivering canalside living together with recreational, leisure and community facilities.

The £70.5 million residential-led scheme, Brindley Village II, linked by canal to Birmingham’s Brindleyplace, will provide some 200 new homes built to very high design and environmental standards. The scheme will create a vibrant urban village where people can make a home, earn a living and have fun as part of a modern sustainable community designed for the 21st century.

Brindley Village II will open up a range of new residential offering in the area, improve the quality of life for all and encourage people to locate in Smethwick.

The masterplan for Brindley Village II has now been finalised by the property regeneration partnership PXP, a joint venture between Langtree and Advantage West Midlands and Royal Bank of Scotland Corporate.

RegenCo is working closely with Urban Living, English Partnerships, Advantage West Midlands, Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council and the PXP to secure delivery of this exciting and transformational scheme.
